First, I love the name Flexi Friends.
I also love the support I get from this group to keep trying and going for my goals one class at a time and even when I’m not in class it’s fun to try headstands and see if anything has changed. I know I mentally block myself alot so it is really nice to hear your voice encouraging us in class to keep trying even if we fall out of a pose to get back to it and try again. I feel comfortable enough with you and the group that I won’t get embarrassed by falling over while I attempt to do a headstand for the 100th time lol.
When you first started these classes, my goal was definitely to focus on the stretches to be able to get my front split. As the class progressed though, I realized that that didn’t have to be my only goal and I can work on multiple things at the same time. So, honestly I love that you challenge us to try new things and introduce new stretches every now and then and switch the classes up so we don’t get bored because that is major for me. I get bored easily doing just the same routine over and over.
My goals have expanded and in addition to the front split, I really want to get that headstand!! Also, I have seen a difference in my front split and as much as I hate to admit it, those frogs and other middle split stretches have been working because I can get lower in that as well. My favorite classes are the ones focused on back stretches because I really want my arch to look good. I love all the classes though and the awesome community you have created so I’ll do pretty much any stretch you tell me lol!
Your teaching style has improved from the beginning too. I notice you offering more tips on alignment with each stretch and where exactly our hands and feet need to be, since we aren’t in the same room with you that is very helpful. I leave every class feeling really good and accomplished. Thank you for creating this group and taking your time to teach these classes!
